They Can’t Take that Away from Me…

Hi All,

Today’s not the best as far as the pain of fibromyalgia is concerned. It’s definitely one of those time’s I am sick of being sick! So I have chosen today’s piece “Now” for an uplift in spirit!

It be a seemingly strange title for the slate – more about that in a moment…

First, the inspiration, this came from an earlier piece entitled “Then” which depicted a retro silhouette of a 1940’s couple dancing. They were in a real “Fred and Ginger” pose, holding hands but moving in opposite directions.

So “Now” has a double meaning, one represents how times have changed and the other is how the couple are living in the moment of their love for each other.

The slate is made complete with a candle plinth to add to the whole romance of the work.
