Oil on Slate

Oil on Slate

Hi

Today’s painting brings back memories of living the dream. It is one of three painted on a beautiful summer’s day in a riverside garden out in the wilds of Co. Galway.

It came about when my partner’s daughter complained of being bored. We hauled out the easels with the idea that I could show them how in a few hours using the Bob Ross wet-on-wet technique they could easily paint something to be proud of, that all it takes is practice. As the enjoyable afternoon passed, we  completed our efforts and we each had a nice painting.

My partner and her daughter were happy with their pictures – especially my step-daughter. She now has it hanging proudly on her wall, the trouble is to her annoyance, nobody believes she painted it as she forgot to put her signature to it!

It’s O.K. Ceire, we know you did it and did it well!

🙂
