Creative Escape – The Cell

“The Cell” is an acrylic on canvass. The thought process that led to this work was born from the agonising pain of fibromyalgia. It carries the meaning of both a prison cell and a human cell. The interlocking bars of the lightening bolts depict the confines my illness force me to live within. In contrast  the human cell is winding, finding its path to break through to freedom.

Created with metallic paint to emphasize the strength needed to cope with consistent chronic pain. “The Cell” being the birthplace of all creativity and the simplicity of this continues to give me hope and practice spiritual living.
